Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided updates on injuries to Gabriel Magalhães and Jurrien Timber following their 2-1 victory against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
Gabriel, who was substituted early in the match, experienced discomfort in his hamstring. Arteta commented, "Gabriel felt something in his hamstring; we don’t know the extent of the issue yet."
Timber also faced challenges early in the game and was eventually forced off. Arteta added, "Jurrien Timber was already struggling early on. He couldn’t continue, and we will assess both players tomorrow to determine the severity of their injuries."
Despite these setbacks, Arsenal delivered a strong performance. Mikel Merino opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and Bukayo Saka, making his return from injury, doubled the lead with a header in the 73rd minute. Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz pulled one back in stoppage time, but Arsenal held on to secure the win.
