
Jonathan Tah, the towering center-back for Bayer Leverkusen, has officially confirmed his departure from the club as a free agent this summer.
Speaking to Kicker, Tah reiterated his decision, stating, "Everything was said from the start. There was a point in time when I made the decision not to extend my contract and not to stay here. It remains that way now."
Tah's journey with Bayer Leverkusen has been remarkable. Since joining the club in 2015, he has made an impressive 302 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 14 goals. His contributions extend beyond domestic competitions, with notable performances in the UEFA Champions League and DFB-Pokal. In the 2024/25 season alone, Tah has played 50 matches across all competitions, scoring three goals.
As Tah prepares to leave the BayArena, speculation surrounds his next destination.
