Jack Wilshere Appointed Interim Norwich City Manager After Thorup's Departure
Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has been appointed interim manager of Norwich City for the remainder of the season. His appointment comes following the dismissal of head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, who was relieved of his duties after a 3-1 loss to Millwall. The defeat left Norwich sitting 14th in the Championship with 53 points.
Wilshere, 33, joined Norwich’s coaching staff in October 2024 after managing Arsenal’s Under-18 side, a team he led to the FA Youth Cup final. He will take charge of Norwich's final two fixtures of the season against Middlesbrough and Cardiff City, the latter managed by his former Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey.
