Former Arsenal teammates Kieran Gibbs and Bacary Sagna recently reunited, as shared by Gibbs on Instagram with the caption: “BAC with my bro.”
The two defenders were key figures in Arsenal's squad during the late 2000s and early 2010s, forming a dynamic full-back partnership under the guidance of manager Arsène Wenger. Bacary Sagna joined the Gunners in 2007 and quickly became the club’s first-choice right-back, earning praise for his consistency, defensive strength, and attacking support. Kieran Gibbs, who rose through Arsenal's youth academy, made his Premier League debut in 2009 and eventually cemented his place as the team’s regular left-back.
Together, they played significant roles in Arsenal’s domestic and European campaigns, frequently providing width and defensive stability. One of their most memorable joint contributions came during the 2013–14 Champions League season, where both featured in key group stage victories, including a notable 2–0 win over Napoli.
Their partnership also shone in the 2014 FA Cup Final against Hull City, where Gibbs made a vital goal-line clearance early in the game. That moment proved crucial in Arsenal's dramatic comeback, as the team overturned a 2–0 deficit to win 3–2 in extra time—securing the club’s first major trophy in nine years.
