Ex-Barcelona Defender Gerard Piqué and Clara Chía Reportedly Break Up After Three Years

Ex-Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and his girlfriend Clara Chía have reportedly ended their relationship after being together for nearly three years. The news was first shared by journalist Adriana Dorronsoro on the Spanish TV show Vamos a ver on April 24, where she claimed that sources close to the pair mentioned the possibility of "third parties" being involved in the breakup. However, no specifics were provided regarding infidelity or who the alleged third parties might be.

Piqué and Chía’s relationship began in 2022 shortly after his split from Colombian pop star Shakira, with whom he shares two sons, Milan and Sasha. Their breakup garnered massive media attention, particularly after Shakira addressed the situation through her music — most notably in her collaboration with Bizarrap, where she made veiled references to Piqué and Chía. The public fallout intensified the spotlight on his new relationship, which had since remained under scrutiny.

Despite the new breakup claims, there have been conflicting reports. Outlets like SPORT and La Vanguardia cited sources denying that the couple has split. Additionally, journalist Víctor Navarro, known for his work with the King’s League, suggested via social media that the two are still together, adding further confusion to the reports.

As of now, neither Gerard Piqué nor Clara Chía has issued an official statement regarding the state of their relationship. With varying accounts circulating, the true status of their romance remains unclear.
