Jack Grealish has shared his admiration for Kevin De Bruyne following the announcement of the Belgian midfielder’s departure from Manchester City at the end of the season.

Grealish made his feelings known on Instagram by posting a heartfelt tribute accompanied by a collage of photos featuring moments the two shared on and off the pitch. In his message, Grealish wrote: “One of the reasons I joined City was to play alongside you brother! The best I've ever had the pleasure of playing with for sure. Legend!”

De Bruyne, who has been at the core of Manchester City's success for nearly a decade, announced his exit in an emotional letter to fans. In his farewell message, he expressed his gratitude for the journey he had with the club, saying: “Football led me to all of you – and to this city. Chasing this dream, not knowing this period would change my life... And guess what – we won EVERYTHING.”

During their time together, Grealish and De Bruyne developed a strong partnership on the field. Their collaboration played a key role in Manchester City's achievements, particularly during the 2022–23 season, when the club completed a historic treble by winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. Grealish finished that season with five goals and 11 assists, while De Bruyne delivered 10 goals and an impressive 29 assists across all competitions.
