The Croatian coach, who took charge of the Saints just 108 days ago, leaves the club under the terms of a relegation clause in his contract.

Jurić's tenure at Southampton was marked by challenges, as the team struggled to find form and consistency. Appointed in December to replace Russell Martin, Jurić inherited a squad languishing at the bottom of the league table. Despite his efforts, the Saints managed only one win in 14 matches under his leadership, with 12 losses and one draw. The team's relegation was confirmed after a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, making them the earliest side to be relegated in Premier League history.

Southampton's management expressed gratitude for Jurić's contributions during a difficult period but emphasized the need for clarity and a fresh direction as the club prepares for life in the Championship. Interim manager Simon Rusk, assisted by Adam Lallana, will oversee the remaining fixtures of the season.

The Saints now face the challenge of rebuilding and aiming for an immediate return to the top flight. With a summer of reflection and restructuring ahead, the club is determined to restore pride and competitiveness to its ranks.
