The match began with LAFC taking an early lead through Aaron Long's ninth-minute goal, putting Inter Miami in a challenging position.
However, Lionel Messi, the team's captain, showcased his brilliance by scoring twice. His first goal came in the 35th minute, leveling the match at 1-1.
Messi later sealed the victory with a composed penalty in the 84th minute, following a handball by an LAFC defender.
Midfielder Federico Redondo also contributed to the scoreline, heading home a goal in the 61st minute.
Inter Miami's goalkeeper, Oscar Ustari, played a pivotal role in the win, making crucial saves to deny LAFC's attempts at a comeback. The Herons now look forward to their semifinal clash later this month, where they will face either the Vancouver Whitecaps or Liga MX's Pumas.
