Lucas Bergvall has officially signed a new six-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur, keeping him at the club until June 2031.
The 19-year-old Swedish midfielder joined Spurs in July 2024 from DjurgÃ¥rden for a reported £8.5 million.
Initially not expected to feature prominently, Bergvall has impressed with his rapid adaptation to the Premier League, becoming a key component in Tottenham's midfield. This contract extension reflects both his development and the club's confidence in his potential. Despite a challenging season, Bergvall's commitment underscores his belief in Tottenham's long-term project under manager Ange Postecoglou.
Bergvall's journey to Spurs began with his move from Brommapojkarna to Djurgården in February 2023. During his time at Djurgården, he made an immediate impact in the first team, recording two goals and one assist in 25 top-flight matches in his debut season.
