Paris Saint-Germain Held to a Draw Against Nantes
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 with a 1-1 draw against Nantes on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This result also marked a new record, as the club has now gone 39 consecutive away matches without defeat in Europe’s top five leagues, surpassing AC Milan’s record set between 1991 and 1993.
Vitinha gave PSG the lead in the 33rd minute, finishing off a pass from Lee Kang-in. However, Nantes responded late in the game when Douglas Augusto found the net after a powerful run by Matthis Abline. In stoppage time, PSG came close to snatching victory, but Gonçalo Ramos’ header hit the crossbar.
Although PSG have already secured the Ligue 1 title, manager Luis Enrique stressed the importance of maintaining high standards and continuously improving. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma expressed disappointment with the equaliser and highlighted the need for better ball control to manage the game.
PSG remain far ahead in the title race, leading second-placed Olympique de Marseille by 23 points. Nantes, on the other hand, sit in 14th position, just above the relegation zone. PSG will now turn their attention to their upcoming domestic clash against OGC Nice and their Champions League semi-final encounter with Arsenal.
