Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski recently paid tribute to his former coach, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to represent the Polish national team. 
He wrote, "RIP Coach, thank you for the chance to fulfill the dream of playing for the Polish national team."

Lewandowski has enjoyed an illustrious international career with Poland. As of June 2024, he has earned 142 caps and scored 82 goals, making him the country's all-time leading scorer.

His goals have come across various competitions, including 30 goals in World Cup qualifiers from 37 appearances, 20 goals in 23 UEFA European Championship qualifying matches, 3 goals in 12 UEFA Nations League appearances, and 19 goals in 52 international friendly matches.
