Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has expressed unwavering support for goalkeeper André Onana following a costly mistake in the team's recent Europa League quarter-final against Lyon.
Despite Onana's errors contributing to a 2-2 draw, Amorim emphasized the importance of collective responsibility. "When one player makes a mistake, the whole team makes a mistake," Amorim stated, reinforcing the idea that individual errors are a shared burden. He added, "We will keep working hard and improving," highlighting the team's commitment to growth and resilience.

Onana's performance has faced scrutiny, especially after a pre-match exchange with former United midfielder Nemanja Matic, who criticized Onana's confidence and labeled him "one of the worst goalkeepers in Man United's history."

During the match, Onana misjudged a cross from Thiago Almada, leading to Lyon's opening goal, and later spilled a shot that allowed Rayan Cherki to equalize in stoppage time.
