Venkatesham, who previously served as the CEO of Arsenal Football Club from 2020 to 2024, brings over a decade of experience in football management.
During his time at Arsenal, Venkatesham was instrumental in the club's return to the UEFA Champions League after a six-year absence. His expertise also extends beyond football, having contributed to significant events such as the London 2012 Olympics and served on boards of major organizations like the British Olympic Association and the European Club Association. In recognition of his contributions, Venkatesham was honored with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2024.
Tottenham's chairman, Daniel Levy, expressed confidence that Venkatesham’s extensive background in both sports and business would be vital to the club's future ambitions.
While some Spurs fans have raised concerns due to his previous ties with Arsenal, the club views Venkatesham's appointment as a positive step toward strengthening its leadership and achieving future success.
