Wife of Manchester United Goalkeeper André Onana Robbed of £62,000 Hermes Birkin Bag and Rolex Watch in Shocking Incident, 25-Year-Old Man Charged in Connection with Theft

The wife of Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana, Melanie Kamayou, was reportedly targeted in a robbery on March 29, 2025, in Alderley Edge, a town near Manchester.

The incident took place in the parking lot of an Italian restaurant, where Kamayou’s £62,000 Hermes Birkin bag and a Rolex watch were stolen.

Liam Ross, a 25-year-old man from Bradford, has been charged in relation to the robbery, as well as for supplying cannabis. He appeared before Chester Magistrates Court and is set to face further proceedings at Chester Crown Court next month.

Kamayou, who is a businesswoman and philanthropist, co-chairs the André Onana Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing free medical care to underprivileged communities in Africa. She married Onana in 2023. Since his move to Manchester United from Inter Milan, Onana has made 92 appearances for the club and recently won the FA Cup. This season, he has participated in all 30 Premier League matches, keeping nine clean sheets. Manchester United is currently ranked 13th in the league and preparing for their upcoming matches, including a crucial game against Manchester City and a Europa League quarter-final against Lyon.
