Bruno Fernandes dominated Manchester United’s 2024/25 awards night by winning both the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year honors.
Throughout the season, Fernandes displayed remarkable consistency, earning the Sir Matt Busby award for the fourth time, matching club legends Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea. He contributed 19 goals and 19 assists across all competitions, standing out despite a challenging campaign for the team.
The awards were handed out at Old Trafford before United’s final Premier League match, after the club decided to cancel the usual awards dinner due to disappointing league results.
In his speech, Fernandes acknowledged the team’s struggles and expressed hope that upcoming seasons would see more young players step up. He specifically mentioned Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Højlund as key players for the club’s future.
