Remo Stars Celebrate Maiden NPFL Title with Grand Trophy Parade
On May 16, 2025, Remo Stars Football Club proudly held a spectacular trophy parade across Remo Land in Ogun State to commemorate their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) championship. Founded in 2010, the club secured the 2024–25 NPFL title with three games remaining, becoming the first team from the South-West region to win the league since Julius Berger’s triumph in 2000.

The celebration began at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church in Ikenne and proceeded through key landmarks including Aiyepe Junction, Gateway International Stadium in Sagamu, and various prominent streets, before culminating at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. Enthusiastic fans thronged the streets, waving flags and cheering as players, coaching staff, and club officials paraded in open-top vehicles proudly showcasing the NPFL trophy.

The event extended beyond mere celebration of sporting success; it was a vibrant display of community pride and unity. Local youth organizations, traditional rulers, and schoolchildren joined the procession, turning the parade into a lively cultural festivity that underscored Remo Stars’ strong connection to their supporters and their community.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Daniel Ogunmodede, Remo Stars have consistently been among the top contenders, having finished second in the previous two seasons. Their tactical style, known as "Ijaball," draws inspiration from renowned football philosophies, helping propel the club to national prominence.

In recognition of their remarkable achievement, notable figures such as Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen have shown support, with Osimhen contributing a significant monetary gift to the team. Additionally, the club is set to receive a ₦210 million reward, which includes ₦200 million as the championship prize and a ₦10 million participation fee.
