Hansi Flick has confirmed that Wojciech Szczęsny will remain Barcelona's starting goalkeeper for both the upcoming UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg against Inter Milan and the La Liga "El Clásico" against Real Madrid. Despite Marc-André ter Stegen's successful return from a seven-month injury layoff, Flick has opted to keep Szczęsny in goal for these crucial fixtures.

Ter Stegen made his comeback against Real Valladolid, showcasing his resilience after a significant knee injury. While his performance was solid, Flick emphasized the importance of maintaining Szczęsny's momentum, especially given his exceptional form since the start of 2025.

Ter Stegen is expected to gradually reintegrate into the starting lineup once Szczęsny's run concludes, allowing the German goalkeeper to regain match fitness and rhythm.
