Harry Kane's pursuit of his first major trophy was heartbreakingly delayed following a dramatic conclusion to Bayern Munich's Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig. Suspended due to five yellow cards—the final one received for time-wasting against Mainz—Kane was unable to play in the match.
Despite his absence, Bayern looked set to seal the title, leading 3-2 in stoppage time. Kane had even made his way to the pitch, ready to celebrate what would have been his first-ever major trophy. However, RB Leipzig scored a last-second equalizer, ending the match 3-3 and postponing Bayern’s championship celebrations.
Kane, who joined Bayern Munich in 2023, has been in outstanding form, scoring 60 goals in 61 Bundesliga appearances. Yet, the wait for silverware continues. The Bundesliga trophy presentation is now set for May 10 during Bayern’s final home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, giving Kane another chance to finally lift his long-awaited first major title.
