Jamie Vardy Marks 500th Leicester Appearance with Historic 200th Goal in Emotional Farewell

Jamie Vardy etched his name into Leicester City folklore on Sunday by scoring his 200th goal for the club during his 500th and final appearance, capping a remarkable 13-year journey with the Foxes.
The 38-year-old striker found the net in a Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town, delivering a composed finish from a James Justin assist. This goal not only marked a personal milestone but also served as a fitting farewell to the King Power Stadium faithful.

Vardy's ascent from non-league football to Premier League stardom is the stuff of legend. Signed from Fleetwood Town in 2012 for a then-record £1 million fee for a non-league player, he became the talisman of Leicester's fairy-tale 2015–16 title-winning campaign, famously breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record by scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League matches.

Throughout his tenure, Vardy amassed 143 Premier League goals for Leicester, placing him among the league's most prolific scorers for a single club. His contributions were instrumental in the club's historic achievements, including their first-ever FA Cup triumph in 2021.

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy lauded Vardy as "one of the greatest" players in Premier League history, highlighting his consistency, professionalism, and impact on the game.
