PSV Eindhoven Crowned Eredivisie Champions for 26th Time After Dramatic Title Race

PSV Eindhoven has clinched the 2024–25 Eredivisie title, marking their 26th national championship and second consecutive league triumph. The decisive 3–1 victory over Sparta Rotterdam on the final matchday secured their position at the top of the table, narrowly edging out rivals Ajax by a single point.
Ajax had maintained a nine-point lead over PSV as recently as late March. However, a series of setbacks—including two draws and two defeats—allowed PSV to capitalize with a six-match winning streak to close the season. In the final round, both teams secured wins, but PSV's consistent form ensured they finished with 79 points to Ajax's 78.

At 61 years and 178 days old, PSV head coach Peter Bosz became the oldest manager to win the Dutch league title.

With this championship, PSV continues to trail Ajax's record of 36 Eredivisie titles.
