Kvaratskhelia Names Trent Alexander-Arnold as the Toughest Defender He’s Faced

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia recently shared his admiration for Trent Alexander-Arnold, stating, “The toughest defender I’ve faced is Trent Alexander-Arnold, he's a very good player.”

He further elaborated, “I can’t name a lot but I'd choose from my time with Paris the hardest one was Trent,” during an interview with Rio Ferdinand. 

This recognition is significant, considering Kvaratskhelia's own reputation as a formidable winger. Their most notable encounter occurred during a UEFA Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Liverpool, where Kvaratskhelia, representing PSG, faced off against Alexander-Arnold.

 Despite Kvaratskhelia's skillful play, Liverpool manager Arne Slot commended Alexander-Arnold's performance, acknowledging that while he had "one or two" challenging moments, he defended effectively overall, particularly in the second half.
