San Siro Shock: Inter Fans Locked Out After Leaving Before Stunning Comeback Win Over Barcelona

A group of Inter Milan supporters were left devastated after exiting the San Siro prematurely during Tuesday night’s Champions League semi-final thriller against Barcelona—only to be denied reentry when the match took a stunning turn in the dying moments of regular time.
With just minutes remaining and Barcelona leading 3-2 on the night (6-5 on aggregate), many Inter fans believed their team’s European dream had ended when Raphinha netted in the 87th minute. In frustration and despair, a number of fans headed for the exits.

But football had other plans.

In a dramatic twist, Francesco Acerbi found the back of the net in the 93rd minute to bring Inter level on aggregate and send the stadium into frenzy. As the roar of celebration erupted inside the ground, fans who had already left scrambled to get back in—only to be turned away at the gates. Security, in line with stadium policy, refused them reentry.

Heartbreaking scenes followed, with footage capturing desperate supporters pleading to be allowed back in as the match headed to extra time. Their agony was compounded when substitute Davide Frattesi delivered the final blow, scoring the winner that sealed a historic 4-3 victory (7-6 on aggregate) for Inter and sent them to the Champions League final.
