Cristian Chivu has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Inter Milan, signing a contract that extends until June 2027. This marks a significant milestone in Chivu's coaching career, transitioning from his recent managerial role at Parma Calcio 1913 back to the club where he enjoyed considerable success as a player.
Chivu's journey in coaching began within Inter Milan's youth system, where he progressed through various age groups, culminating in his leadership of the Primavera (Under-19) team from 2021 to 2024. His tenure was highlighted by winning the Campionato Primavera 1 title in the 2021–22 season. In February 2025, he took on his first senior managerial position with Parma, aiming to guide the team away from relegation in Serie A.

Now, returning to Inter Milan, Chivu brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the club's culture and expectations. His appointment reflects Inter's commitment to fostering talent from within and building upon the legacy of former players who transition into leadership roles.

As head coach, Chivu will be tasked with steering Inter Milan through domestic and European competitions, aiming to replicate and surpass the successes he experienced during his playing days with the club. The management and supporters alike will be looking forward to this new chapter under his guidance.
