Governor Dapo Abiodun Commands Elegance at the 2025 Ojude Oba Festival

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun captured attention at this year’s Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, 8 June 2025, impeccably attired in a custom-tailored gold-coloured agbada, richly adorned with intricate embroidery and fur lining. Complementing this striking ensemble were a brown cap, traditional coral beads, and a ceremonial walking staff—a look praised as both regal and fitting for the occasion.

In a statement shared on his verified Instagram page, Governor Abiodun described Ojude Oba as a “timeless tradition” embodying the unity, cultural pride, and rich heritage of Ijebuland. The festival—held on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir—features vibrant age-grade parades, horseback riders, dancers, and fashion displays, all in homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
