Martin Zubimendi to Wear Number 36 Shirt at Arsenal

Martin Zubimendi is set to wear the number 36 shirt at Arsenal, a number he previously wore during his early days with Real Sociedad’s B team and first-team squad.

Although Zubimendi has worn number 4 at Real Sociedad in recent seasons, that number is currently taken by Ben White at Arsenal. His preferred number 6 at international level is also unavailable, with Gabriel Magalhães occupying it. As a result, Zubimendi is expected to reclaim the number 36, which holds sentimental value from his development years in Spain.

The 25-year-old midfielder is expected to travel to London this weekend to undergo his medical and sign the deal, with the transfer set to be finalised soon. Reports indicate that Arsenal will pay a fee of around £53 million—slightly above his £51 million release clause—to secure the move efficiently.
