Governor Sanwo-Olu shared highlights from their meeting on social media, praising the defender’s commitment to youth development and his continued connection to his heritage. He commended Adarabioyo for using his platform to inspire and support emerging talents in Nigeria.

Adarabioyo recently featured in Chelsea’s squad that secured a 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain to win the revamped FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Though he has represented England at youth level, his Nigerian background has led to growing interest in his potential inclusion in the Super Eagles setup.

The Tosin Adarabioyo Youth Cup is set to kick off on July 23 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, featuring four participating teams: 36 Lion FC, Mavilon FC, Seamoriow Football Academy, and a representative side from the Lagos State FA.
