Paris Saint‑Germain secured a commanding 2‑0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup quarter-finals at Atlanta’s Mercedes‑Benz Stadium. After a tense and dramatic encounter, Ousmane Dembélé put the result beyond doubt with a stoppage-time goal.

Following his goal, Dembélé sat at the corner flag in a cross-legged pose, recreating the popular “FIFA celebration” made famous by the late Portuguese winger Diogo Jota. The gesture served as a heartfelt tribute and drew emotional reactions from teammates and fans alike.

Despite being reduced to nine men after red cards were shown to Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernández, PSG held firm. The breakthrough came in the 79th minute when young midfielder Désiré Doué capitalized on a defensive mistake. Dembélé then sealed the victory with a swift counter-attack in added time.
Speaking after the match, PSG captain Marquinhos acknowledged the significance of the celebration. "We have Portuguese players in the dressing room … Jota deserves all the tributes in the world," he said.

The result sees PSG advance to the semi-finals, where they will face either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.
