Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has been pictured enjoying a well-deserved getaway in Ibiza, following Manchester City’s unexpected elimination from the Club World Cup. City bowed out in the Round of 16 after a 4–3 defeat to Al-Hilal on July 1, a result that cost the club a potential £92 million prize.
Haaland, 24, was seen unwinding on a banana boat with his girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen. The couple was also photographed enjoying additional water activities such as jet-skiing and surfing, with Isabel surfing in a bikini and Haaland steering clear with swim shorts and a life jacket.
Later, the pair were spotted aboard a luxury yacht, where Haaland appeared relaxed—diving into the sea, checking his phone, and soaking up the Balearic sunshine. Isabel, a new mother, was also seen swimming and enjoying the scenery, more than six months after welcoming their first child together.
The couple is believed to have met at Bryne’s youth academy in Norway and began dating during Haaland’s time at Borussia Dortmund. They have mostly kept their family life private and have not publicly disclosed their child’s name.
While City missed out on the Club World Cup prize money, the early exit has allowed the squad an extended summer break before the new Premier League season. Manchester City will play a friendly match against Palermo on August 9, before beginning their league campaign against Wolves on August 16.
