Michael Olise has been officially voted Bayern Munich’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign, as announced on the club’s official social media channels. Leading the fan vote with 44.8 percent, he comfortably outpaced Thomas Müller (18.7 percent) and Harry Kane (9.4 percent).
After joining Bayern from Crystal Palace in July 2024 for a reported €60 million transfer, the 23‑year‑old winger made an immediate impact in his first season at the Allianz Arena. Olise featured in all 34 Bundesliga fixtures, scoring 12 league goals and leading the Bundesliga with 15 assists.

In total, Olise tallied 17 goals and 21 assists over 50 appearances in all competitions, including an impressive Champions League run with five goals and two assists from 14 matches.

Known for his world-class dribbling, vision, and left-footed creativity, Olise generated 32 big chances in the Bundesliga, nearly double the tally of his closest competitor, Florian Wirtz. Sporting director Max Eberl hailed him as “our foundation for the future,” citing his increasing responsibility when teammates like Jamal Musiala or Harry Kane were unavailable.

He earned the title of Bundesliga Rookie of the Season for 2024/25. Teammate Joshua Kimmich praised Olise's work ethic, highlighting his relentless training routine and adaptability despite participating in the 2024 Olympic Games. He was also recognized by the CIES Football Observatory as the league’s top overall attacking player, surpassing noted talents such as Lamine Yamal, Florian Wirtz, and Vinícius Júnior.

Olise capped his debut season with a standout performance in Bayern’s 4‑0 finale win over Hoffenheim, opening the scoring and setting up Joshua Kimmich for another goal, earning him Man of the Match honors. His consistent excellence throughout the season underlines why he was chosen as the club’s top player, despite it being his first year in Germany.
