Reno Omokri recently used social media to lampoon former Sports Minister Solomon Dalung after Dalung announced his entry into the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—a coalition positioning itself to challenge President Tinubu’s administration in the 2027 elections Reno Omokri Mocks Solomon Dalung Over ADC Coalition’s 2027 Ambition

Sharing a photograph of Dalung in traditional attire, Omokri captioned his post with a biting remark: _“See someone who claims he’ll remove Tinubu with the ADC coalition”_ .

Earlier this month, in a Facebook post titled “Five Contradictions with the ADC That Should Cause You to Think,” Omokri outlined what he termed the coalition’s internal inconsistencies. He questioned how the coalition claimed it could unseat President Tinubu when it failed to dislodge PDP members aligned with Tinubu earlier.

He further highlighted contradictions such as ADC celebrating Atiku’s former Minister Abubakar Malami—a figure who previously imposed the X platform ban in Nigeria—and pointed out the irony of figures once branded “structures of criminality” now at the center of ADC’s rebranding strategy .

Additionally, in an interview featured on Arise News, Omokri disparaged ADC as a mere “losers’ convention,” saying the coalition is markedly different from the APC’s formative merger—lacking structural coherence, political influence, and leadership credibility. He argued that none of the coalition’s leading figures, including El‑Rufai or Peter Obi, control any state, and described internal discord and ego clashes as major impediments to its unity and effectiveness .
