Spurs initially offered £50 million, which West Ham rejected immediately. A second bid of £55 million was also turned down, with West Ham reportedly holding out for £65 million, despite Kudus having a release clause of £84 million. The release clause is valid until Thursday, allowing Premier League clubs to trigger it for £85 million.
Kudus has made it clear he only wants to join Tottenham, turning down interest from Chelsea and Newcastle. He has agreed to personal terms and is expected to sign a six-year contract. Medical tests are scheduled for Thursday in London, after which the deal could be finalized.
Kudus is a versatile forward who can play across the front line, known for his direct dribbling and flair. He completed the second-highest take-ons per 90 minutes in the Premier League last season, behind only Jeremy Doku. Spurs manager Thomas Frank has approved Kudus as a top target, seeing him as a key piece in his attacking rebuild.
Kudus would be the first player to move from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011. His arrival adds depth and creativity to a Spurs attack that already includes Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Mathys Tel.
