Crystal Palace Secure Yeremy Pino as Eberechi Eze Replacement

Crystal Palace have officially announced the signing of Spanish international Yeremy Pino from Villarreal, in a deal worth up to £26 million, as the direct replacement for Eberechi Eze following his high-profile move to Arsenal.
The 22-year-old winger, regarded as one of Spain’s brightest attacking talents, has signed a five-year contract with the Eagles and is expected to make his debut against Aston Villa in the Premier League this Sunday.

Pino arrives at Selhurst Park after an impressive 2024–25 campaign in La Liga, where he registered 13 goal involvements (four goals, nine assists) in 35 appearances, helping Villarreal secure Champions League qualification. Known for his pace, creativity, and incisive dribbling, he also created 43 chances for teammates last season – the third-highest in the Villarreal squad.

Speaking after completing the move, Pino expressed his excitement:
> “It is a dream of mine to come to the Premier League, to a historic club like Crystal Palace, and I hope that I can help the team,” he said.

Palace chairman Steve Parish hailed the signing as a major coup:
> “Yeremy is an exciting young talent with an impressive record in domestic, European, and international football. With an exciting season ahead, competing on multiple fronts, he is a player our fans will particularly appreciate,” Parish stated.

Pino’s arrival follows Eze’s £60 million transfer to Arsenal last week, leaving a significant creative void in Palace’s attack. Manager Oliver Glasner will hope the Spaniard can quickly adapt to English football as the club prepares for a busy season, including its maiden campaign in the UEFA Conference League after winning the FA Cup – the first major trophy in the club’s history.

The signing marks Palace’s third addition of the summer, following goalkeeper Walter Benítez from PSV Eindhoven and defender Borna Sosa from Ajax. With the transfer window closing on September 1, further activity is expected as the club also looks to reinforce its defence amid speculation over captain Marc Guehi’s future.
