The announcement came on August 18, 2025, during Monday Night Raw, when Naomi, the reigning Women’s World Champion, revealed her pregnancy in a heartfelt segment. Known for her flair and charisma, she delighted the WWE Universe with the news, while also confirming she would be stepping away and relinquishing her championship.

Naomi, whose real name is Trinity LaShawn McCray, had been at the peak of her career. She recently captured the Women’s World Championship at July’s Evolution pay-per-view after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract against Iyo Sky and successfully defended her title at SummerSlam. Her reign was cut short by her pregnancy, but she promised fans that her story in the ring is far from over.

During the announcement, Naomi humorously told the crowd, “There is a baby on board,” while playfully warning fellow superstars to “proceed with caution.” She even joked about returning to reclaim her championship, saying she could do it “even while breastfeeding.” Fans responded with chants of “Baby Uso,” celebrating the milestone with her.

Married since 2014, Naomi and Jimmy Uso have been one of WWE’s most prominent couples. Naomi has embraced her role as stepmother to Jimmy’s two children, Jaiden and Jayla Fatu, and now the couple will welcome their first child together. The news further cements the Anoaʻi family’s presence in wrestling history, adding another generation to the Bloodline dynasty.

Fan reactions online showed how much the announcement resonated. One WWE supporter even joked that with so many children across the Anoaʻi family—including those of Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and others—fans might soon witness an “All-Bloodline Royal Rumble.”

With Naomi stepping away, the Women’s World Championship has been vacated. WWE has already lined up Stephanie Vaquer for a title opportunity at Clash in Paris on August 31, signaling the beginning of a new era in the women’s division.
