Tolu Arokodare is set to complete a high-profile move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, having arrived in England ahead of his scheduled medical examinations. The Nigerian striker is joining Wolves from Belgian side KRC Genk in a deal reportedly worth €27 million (£23.3 million), including add-ons.

The 24-year-old forward enjoyed a standout season in the Belgian Pro League, finishing as the top scorer with 17 goals in 30 league appearances and contributing a total of 23 goals and seven assists across all competitions. His performances earned him the prestigious Ebony Boot award, recognizing the best African player in Belgium.

Arokodare's physical presence—standing at 6’6”—combined with his aerial prowess and mobility, makes him a compelling addition to Wolves’ attacking lineup. His arrival comes at a crucial time for the Premier League club, which has struggled in the early stages of the 2025–26 season, suffering defeats in their opening matches.

Under manager Vitor Pereira, Wolves have been actively reshaping their squad, with Arokodare expected to provide both competition and cover for Jorgen Strand Larsen, whose future at Molineux remains uncertain amid interest from Newcastle United. The move is not contingent on Larsen’s departure, signaling Wolves’ intent to bolster their offensive depth.

Pending a successful medical, Arokodare will sign a multi-year contract and become the seventh signing of Wolves’ summer transfer window. His imminent arrival is seen as a strategic step to reinvigorate the club’s attacking threat and support their ambitions for the season ahead.
