Yashin Trophy 2025: Alisson, Donnarumma, Martínez, Courtois Among Ten Nominees for Best Goalkeeper Award

Alisson Becker, Yassine Bounou, Lucas Chevalier, Thibaut Courtois, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Emiliano Martínez, Jan Oblak, David Raya, Matz Sels, and Yann Sommer have been named as the ten nominees for the 2025 Yashin Trophy, awarded to the best goalkeeper of the year at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Organised by France Football, the Yashin Trophy honours the most outstanding goalkeeper in world football, with the 2025 edition set to be presented on September 22 in Paris.

Gianluigi Donnarumma returns to the list following an impressive season with Paris Saint-Germain, while Emiliano Martínez, who won the award in both 2023 and 2024, is once again in contention. Liverpool’s Alisson and Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois also feature, alongside rising talents like Lille’s Lucas Chevalier and Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels.
