Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has announced the passing of his cherished bulldog, Roscoe, in an emotional tribute shared on social media. Hamilton described Roscoe as his “best friend,” expressing profound grief over the loss.
“Lost my best friend last night,” Hamilton wrote. “Thank you all for the love you’ve shown him over the years. Roscoe forever.”
Roscoe passed away on Sunday evening, September 28, following a four-day battle with pneumonia. Hamilton revealed that his companion had been placed on life support but ultimately could not recover. “He never stopped fighting, right until the very end,” Hamilton shared. “I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe.”
Hamilton adopted Roscoe in 2013, and the bulldog quickly became a familiar presence in the Formula 1 paddock, often accompanying the British driver to races and amassing over 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Roscoe’s playful personality and close bond with Hamilton made him a fan favorite both on and off the track.
