Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia Return to Manchester United Training Ahead of Sunderland Clash
Manchester United have received a welcome boost ahead of their Premier League fixture against Sunderland at Old Trafford this Saturday, October 4. Both Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia have returned to first-team training at Carrington, strengthening Ruben Amorim’s options as the Red Devils look to bounce back from recent inconsistency.
Diallo, who missed last weekend’s match due to a family bereavement, has rejoined the squad and is expected to be available for selection. The Ivorian winger has been a lively presence under Amorim this season and could feature against Sunderland, a side where he previously enjoyed a successful loan spell.
Meanwhile, Malacia’s return marks the end of a lengthy absence from the senior setup. The Dutch full-back, who last appeared for United in January before a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, has been reintegrated into the main training group. His comeback provides Amorim with much-needed depth on the left side of defence, an area that has been stretched in recent weeks.
The timing of their return could prove crucial. United, currently seeking to climb the Premier League table, face a Sunderland side that has shown resilience early in the campaign.
