Big Brother Naija alumnus Pere Egbi has extended warm congratulations to his fellow ex-housemate, Cross Okonkwo, on the announcement of his engagement.
Both men rose to fame during BBNaija Season 6, themed ‘Shine Ya Eye,’ in 2021, where they were finalists, and later returned for the All-Stars edition in 2023.
Cross recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Chinonso, in a romantic ceremony on September 30, 2025. The intimate event, attended by close friends and former BBNaija housemates, saw Cross go down on one knee as Chinonso accepted his proposal. Videos of the moment were shared on social media, with Cross expressing his joy, writing, “Guys, my love of my life said yes.” The couple later hosted their guests to dinner to celebrate the occasion.
Taking to X, Pere reflected on a past memory of Cross’s relationship when he drove him to meet Chinonso during one of her visits to Lagos. He wrote:
“I remember when I drove you and dropped you off to see her when she was visiting Lagos. We spoke so much about her. You said you’d marry her and fast forward, you have. Proud of you fam. I’m activating myself for groomsman duties. Let’s go!!!!!”
