Al Ittihad opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Karim Benzema after a swift counter-attack. Al Nassr managed to equalise in the 30th minute when Angelo Gabriel found the net, but Houssem Aouar restored Al Ittihad’s lead just before half-time. Despite going down to 10 men in the second half, Al Ittihad held firm and denied Al Nassr any late comeback. Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes but struggled to make an impact, managing only one shot on target and creating a single chance.
The defeat means Ronaldo and Al Nassr will once again have to wait for another opportunity to claim domestic glory. With their King’s Cup campaign over, the team’s attention now turns to the Saudi Pro League and continental competitions.
After the match, Ronaldo reacted to the loss on social media, writing: “We stand tall, learn, and move forward together.”
