Lucas Digne shared a photo on social media revealing a leg injury he sustained during Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur today.
In a tense match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Aston Villa came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory. Rodrigo Bentancur gave Spurs an early lead in the 5th minute, but Morgan Rogers equalized for Villa in the 36th minute. Emiliano Buendía then sealed the win with a goal in the 76th minute, assisted by Digne.
Despite the injury, Digne played a crucial role in the comeback, contributing the decisive assist. The win lifts Aston Villa to 10th in the league table, while Tottenham remain in 6th.
