Galatasaray secured a commanding 3-1 home victory over Bodø/Glimt in their UEFA Champions League group-stage match on Wednesday.
The Turkish side started brightly as Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 3rd minute after capitalising on a defensive lapse. The Nigerian striker doubled Galatasaray’s advantage in the 33rd minute following another mistake from the visitors. On the hour mark, Yunus Akgün added a third goal after sustained pressure led to another attacking opportunity for the hosts.
Bodø/Glimt managed to pull one back in the 76th minute through substitute Andreas Helmersen, who headed home from close range, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Galatasaray controlled the rest of the match to seal the win.
The result puts Galatasaray on six points from three matches, maintaining their strong European form, while Bodø/Glimt remain with two points in the group.
