Manchester United stunned Liverpool with a dramatic 2–1 win at Anfield today, sealing their first league victory at the stadium in almost a decade.
The visitors got off to a flying start when Bryan Mbeumo struck just 62 seconds into the game, leaving Liverpool’s defence flat-footed. The hosts fought back in the second half, and Cody Gakpo eventually levelled the score in the 78th minute after earlier hitting the post.
But United weren’t done yet — captain Bruno Fernandes delivered a perfect cross that found Harry Maguire, who powered home an 84th-minute header to silence the Anfield crowd and secure a famous win.
The result piled more pressure on Liverpool, who have now suffered four consecutive defeats in all competitions, while United celebrated one of their most memorable win under Rúben Amorim.
