Kevin De Bruyne sidelined for several months following severe thigh injury, Napoli confirms
Napoli have officially announced that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will be out of action for an extended period after sustaining a serious thigh muscle injury during their recent Serie A clash against Inter Milan.

The incident occurred shortly after De Bruyne converted a penalty in the 33rd minute, giving Napoli the lead in their 3–1 victory. Moments later, the Belgian international pulled up clutching his right thigh and had to be assisted off the pitch by medical staff. He was later seen on the bench with his leg heavily strapped and crutches by his side.

Following diagnostic tests at the Pineta Grande Hospital, De Bruyne was diagnosed with a high-grade lesion to his thigh muscle, a condition expected to keep him sidelined for several months. While Napoli have not specified an exact timeline for his recovery, reports suggest he could miss the remainder of the 2025 season.

This injury marks a significant setback for both Napoli and the Belgian national team. Since joining Napoli from Manchester City, De Bruyne has made a notable impact, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 11 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League.
