Premier League Referee Was Substituted During Liverpool’s Defeat To Brentford

Referee Simon Hooper sustained a hamstring injury during the Premier League clash between Brentford and Liverpool on October 25, 2025. 

He was replaced at halftime by fourth official Tim Robinson, with Hooper taking on the role of fourth official for the remainder of the match. The second half experienced a brief delay as the officials adjusted to their new positions.

Despite the change, the match continued without further incident. Brentford secured a 3–2 victory over Liverpool, with goals from Dango Ouattara, Kevin Schade, and Igor Thiago, while Milos Kerkez and Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool.
