Super Falcons have secured their qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a 1–1 draw against the Benin Republic women’s national football team in Abeokuta.
Following a 2–0 victory in the first leg, Nigeria progressed 3–1 on aggregate.
Defender Ashleigh Plumptre opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a powerful header from a corner, marking her first goal for the Super Falcons.
In the 61st minute, Benin pulled level through Yasmine Djibril, who capitalised on a defensive lapse.
