Tottenham blocks defender from returning to his country ahead of international break

Tottenham Hotspur have decided against releasing Radu Drăgușin for Romania’s next international break, preferring that he remain at the club as part of his ongoing recovery from a serious knee injury.

Since joining Spurs in January 2024, Drăgușin has made 25 Premier League appearances without scoring a goal.

In all competitions for Tottenham, he has played 28 matches and likewise has zero goals to his name.

He sustained an ACL injury in January 2025 and has only recently returned to training, prompting the club to handle his rehabilitation with caution.
