Nollywood actress and filmmaker Etinosa Idemudia has shared her perspective on performing intimate scenes, emphasizing that passionate kissing and hugging in films are no different from any other on-screen moment.

Idemudia, known for her roles in productions such as *Blood of Enogie* and *The Washerman*, described these sequences as purely performative acts, underscoring the importance of detachment in professional acting.
Speaking candidly, Idemudia explained the mechanics of such scenes: "As a professional actor, you should be able to enter your character and come out of it easily. When you hear 'action,' you perform. When you hear 'cut,' you detach." She further clarified that intimacy in Nollywood mirrors routine dialogue or action beats, with no lingering personal emotions once filming concludes. "Kissing and hugging passionately is a performative act," she added, highlighting how actors maintain boundaries to preserve focus and mental well-being.
Idemudia, who transitioned from a career in engineering to full-time entertainment in 2016, has long advocated for professionalism in Nollywood, drawing from her experience in both acting and directing. With a portfolio that includes award-winning performances and self-produced content, she continues to influence discussions on the evolving standards of Nigerian cinema.
