Manchester City defeated Leeds United 3–2 at the Etihad Stadium in today’s Premier League clash, with Phil Foden scoring twice, including the decisive late winner.
Manchester City secured a hard-fought victory over Leeds United in their Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium. The match showcased both attacking flair and defensive resilience, with City ultimately prevailing thanks to a decisive strike from Phil Foden in the 90th minute.

Foden opened the scoring in the first minute, setting the tone for City’s dominance. Josko Gvardiol extended the lead midway through the first half, giving City a comfortable cushion. Leeds responded in the second half, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha finding the net to level the score at 2–2. Just as the game seemed destined for a draw, Foden struck again in stoppage time to secure all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.

City controlled possession with 63% of the ball, dictating tempo and pressing high. Leeds showed resilience, capitalizing on counterattacks and set pieces to claw back into the game. Guardiola’s side demonstrated depth and composure, bouncing back from recent defeats to reclaim momentum.

The victory lifts Manchester City to seven wins in 13 league matches, keeping them firmly in contention near the top of the table. Leeds, meanwhile, remain in the lower half, struggling with just three wins in 10 matches, and continue to battle relegation pressure.
