Amorim earned the Manager of the Month accolade after guiding United to three consecutive league victories in October — a 2-0 win over Sunderland A.F.C., a 2-1 triumph at Liverpool F.C. (their first at Anfield in nearly a decade), and a 4-2 home win against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. On receiving the award, Amorim said, “The credit is not mine, the credit is for my players. They did really well, and our goal is to win the next one because it means we win football matches.” His recognition marks the first time in nearly two years that a Manchester United manager has claimed the honour.
Bryan Mbeumo’s Player of the Month award came after an impressive October in which he recorded three goals and one assist across the team’s three victories — the most goal involvements in the Premier League during that month. His standout moments included providing an assist for Mason Mount in the 2-0 win over Sunderland, scoring in the 2-1 victory at Liverpool, and netting a brace in the 4-2 win over Brighton. This is Mbeumo’s first-ever Premier League Player of the Month award, and he becomes only the second Cameroonian to receive the honour.
