The Super Eagles have officially unveiled their 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup African Play-Offs in Rabat, Morocco. Head coach Eric Chelle has blended experience with youthful talent as Nigeria prepares for a crucial semi-final clash against Gabon.
The squad features captain William Troost-Ekong leading the side, with star striker Victor Osimhen headlining the attack. First-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali returns, supported by Maduka Okoye and Amas Obasogie. In defense, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey anchor the backline, while rising defender Benjamin Fredericks adds youthful energy.

Midfield stability comes from Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Frank Onyeka, with Raphael Onyedika returning after injury to strengthen the options. Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman bring pace and creativity on the wings, while Chidera Ejuke makes a comeback. Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olakunle Olusegun provide fresh attacking firepower.

Nigeria will face Gabon on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan in Rabat, a stadium with a 22,000 capacity. The other semi-final will feature Cameroon against DR Congo at the El-Barid Stadium.

The winners of both semi-finals will contest the final, with only one team advancing to represent Africa in the Intercontinental Play-Offs, the last hurdle before securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
